Reports Orientation for Nonprofit Leaders

This New York CDP Reports Orientation designed specifically for Executive Directors, Board Members, and nonprofit leaders will provide participants with an overview of the reports available through the CDP and how they can be used for key decision-making within your organization. CDP staff will demonstrate valuable uses of CDP reports by walking through typical board scenarios and common organizational challenges.

Why share CDP reports with your board?

Is your board interested in analyzing financial trends? Looking to set fundraising and marketing goasl? Does your board need tools for communicating your organization's financial and programmatic activities? CDP reports will help your board make operational decisions, build the case for support and facilitate long-term planning.

This important session will show you and your staff how to enter data into the New York State CDP and use its powerful reporting features. Refreshments will be served.

New York State Cultural Data Project

The New York State Cultural Data Project is a powerful, online management tool designed to strengthen arts and cultural organizations. This unique system allows users to track their own financial and programmatic performance over time and to benchmark themselves against comparable organizations in specific disciplines, geographic regions and budget sizes. Through the New York State CDP Help Desk, organizations have immediate access to free on-call technical assistance and a team of non-profit financial consultants. The New York State CDP is available to large and small organizations, including those with 501(c)3 status, cultural programs within non-arts organizations, organizations using fiscal conduits, and even unincorporated collectives and festivals at no cost. Four private foundations came together to provide the funding for the launch and three years of operations for the New York State Cultural Data Project.

By participating in the New York State CDP, you will be part of a successful and growing project that will allow the arts community as a whole to better articulate and provide evidence for the sector's assets and needs, as well as its contributions to the state and the country.
